Ryan Reynolds is in Hollywood’s top stories these days. He made a tremendous victory during a racetrack challenge for the British TV show Top Gear. This episode aired on February 12. He participated in the ‘Star in a Reasonably Priced Car’ segment of the show. He won the show racing in a Kia hatchback car.
Although he says that it was very frustrating for him to participate in the show because he mostly rides motorcycles, it is a marvellous achievement for Reynolds. It’s no less than a wonder for a person who prefers to ride motorcycles, to win a car race.
He told Jeremy Clarkson, the host, that he is a horrible driver. He said that he realised that he was driving a car at the last second. He defeated Tom Cruise by half a second and his lap timing was 1 minute 43.7 seconds. What a victory!
Reynolds told Clarkson that he had not participated in the show to win the game, but he actually wanted to defeat Tom Cruise. He only wanted to see whether he can drive a manual car or not? He found it very interesting because he never did this since he finished his high school.
Reynolds is the star of the movie ‘Proposal’. He is a real hero too and he proved it by winning this race all of a sudden in such a short time. All reel-life heroes are not heroes off the screen, but some of them sure are!
Friends Star Matt Le Blanc set a benchmark during his appearance on the show. His lap timing was of 1 minute 42.1 seconds, making him the record holder, while and Rowan Atkinson, with a lap timing of 1 minute 42.2 seconds was close by.
